2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Just weeks remain for youth volunteers to apply for a scholarship, national recognition and more from the 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards. The application deadline is November 5, 2019. This program is an excellent opportunity to shine a spotlight on students who have distinguished themselves through community service and celebrate the spirit of volunteerism. 2020 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards are open to students in grades 5-12 who have participated in a volunteer activity within the past year. Honors are granted at the local, state and national level. Top honorees from all 50 states and the District of Columbia receive a scholarship and an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. for four days of special recognition events. Close Up Info:

Any Junior or Senior planning to go on the Close Up trip needs to complete the following if you have not done so:

1. Return the bottom portion of your information sheet to Mr. Bock before paying deposit online.

2. Please have your deposit paid online by October 30th.

All Students: Be sure to check your high school email multiple times a day. This is how the school will communicate with you regarding your appointments and packages to pick up. When receiving information about appointments, you can show the period teacher the email and be excused to the office at the time indicated on the email. Thank you.


Swim Meeting: Anyone interested in going out for swimming, please plan to attend a 4:00 p.m. meeting on October 28 in the CHS cafeteria.
